Haven’t blogged in forever……but I feel like I’m suppose to start again. So we shall see.

// I Challenge you.//

I was having my devo time a few mornings ago & I really felt strongly the Lord asking me this question Do you read you devo everyday? Thats great! but then He told me to journal what he was about to say: The thing about having devo time is that its a quick refresher, but it shouldn’t take the place of having prayer time with your face in the ground, time of aw and worship, journaling out things God is speaking to you, nor should it ever suffice just being alone  in the secret place. It should ONLY be an added on addition to your already spirit filled life. Only then can it be a drink of fresh water. You’ve also got to be reading the original word in order to gain anything from the drink that has been swished around through the mouth of another human. HELLO! sometimes they get it wrong! You’ve got to be grounded in the word so much that a human beings devo, that you can recognize for yourself what is true and full of meat and what is the bones. Do you hear me? So don’t just wake up and do your “devo” but spend time in the battle ground, time in the secret place and your nose in the word! You’ve got to war for the Lord yourself and stop relying on others to spoon feed you. You don’t wanna ride on somebody else’s passion or find that your just dry bones? then drink from the only faucet with living water and there and only there is where you can find your own flame and burning desire only He can set you a flame, only He can restore you and make you new. Don’t just do your “devo” time as a routine to say you’ve spent your “time” with the Lord today I know life happens and it gets busy and sometimes we oversleep our alarm and don’t have time, but that is the beauty about our relationship with the Father we can talk to him 24/7 we don’t have to go to prayer rooms at a church from 9:00-10:00 we can meet him in the grocery store or while we get ready for school. God calls us to pray without ceasing! Or maybe its time to remember that the Christian life is all about sacrifice? so maybe we have time, but we aren’t using it wisely. We easily can give hours of our time to Facebook, twitter, Pinterest, Tumblr, or for goodness sake Instagram! I’m guilty of it as much as you are but if we take even those few minutes we use in the morning to go look through our news feed or the amount of breath we use to talk about what happened on those social networking sites to talk about the Kingdom how much closer could we be to the Father or how much further could we advance and grow the kingdom? The question comes down to how bad do you want to be close to the Father? “Show me where you spend your time and I’ll show you what your idol is” We also can’t wait until Sunday morning or Wednesday evening to get intimate with God. We can’t wait until opening service at SCSL to be on fire again. WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!? We should br praying and going to battle now! We should just have an overflow once we get back because out cup is already filled. That is how you make it spill over onto your in coming dry & thirsty first years! your devo time is just one drop in the whole cup and that dries up quickly. I’m not saying that devo books/time are bad at all! I’m all for them especially “My Utmost for His Highest”  I’m just saying that that shouldn’t be the only thing that should be filling our spiritual well. Spend time in the trenches & at battle. Fast & pray. Dive deep. We saw the fruit of our labor at experience and that was just one weekend. We’ve got a whole 9 months ahead of us! This is not me harping on anyone either this should be an encouragement I know it was for me! I love you all so much and I am so thankful & honored to have each and everyone of you as family.

The Lord is our strength the enemy is out to kill steal & destroy but he has no authority to do so we are children of God & because of that we are covered by the blood of the lamb & therefore we have the authority in Christ to come against the enemy & his attacked we are all leaders “For God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” 1 Timothy 1:7 “I will never leave you of forsake you…The Lord is my helper; I will not fear what can man do to me?” Hebrews 13:5-6 we are FEARLESS & we need to rise up & walk in what the Lord has given us.
